Crypto Grid Bot for Sideways Markets

We're building a crypto grid bot that places a ladder of buy and sell orders inside a price range you choose, aiming to trade the back-and-forth of a sideways market. It is not built yet; join early access to follow it.

Who it's for

Built for

  • Traders who think a coin will stay in a range for a while
  • People who want to understand grid trading before risking much on it
  • Anyone who wants clear stop rules for when a range breaks
  • People who want their funds kept in their own exchange account
The problem

Why this bot

Grid trading means placing buy orders at set steps below the current price and sell orders at set steps above it. Each time price moves down and back up across a step, the grid buys low and sells a little higher. It suits markets that move sideways.

The catch is that many grid bots are sold as hands-off income, while the real risk is quiet: when price drops below the range and keeps going, a grid ends up holding a falling coin. This bot is being designed around making that risk visible and giving you rules for it.

How it will work

Three steps

  1. Pick a range

You will choose the coin, a low price, a high price, the number of grid steps and the budget. The bot is planned to show you, before you start, what each step earns after fees and what you would hold if price falls to the bottom.

  2. Connect and place the grid

The bot is planned to connect through API keys with trading permission only and withdrawals turned off, then place the ladder of orders in your own account.

  3. Watch the range

As orders fill, the bot replaces them. If price leaves the range, your stop rules decide: pause, cancel open orders, or sell at a set loss.

Details

What it will and will not do

It is planned to trade spot only, with no borrowed money. It will not widen your range or add money on its own. It will warn you when fees eat most of the profit per step, which happens with very tight grids.

Status and risk

This bot is COMING: it is not built yet. Grid trading involves risk and you can lose money, especially when a market trends hard in one direction. Nothing here is investment advice.

What we are still deciding

Which exchanges come first, and whether to offer grids where step sizes are a percent of price instead of fixed dollar amounts.

Trading stocks and crypto involves risk, and you can lose money. MinakiBots does not promise returns. Paper or past results don't guarantee future results. Nothing on this site is investment advice.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Are crypto grid bots profitable?

Nobody can promise that. A grid can earn small amounts in a sideways market and lose money in a strong downtrend, because it keeps buying as price falls. Fees also matter a lot on tight grids. We plan to show the math before you start, not after.

What is the best range for a grid bot?

There is no single best range. A wide range stays active longer but earns less per step; a narrow range earns more per step but breaks more often. The bot is planned to let you compare both before placing anything.

What happens when price leaves the grid range?

Above the range, the grid has sold out and sits in cash. Below it, the grid holds coins bought at higher prices. Your stop rules decide what happens next.

Is grid trading good for beginners?

The idea is simple, but the downside is easy to miss. If you are new, start small and read the range-break section before you set up any grid.
